SMS (Text Messaging) Terms of Service

These SMS (text message) terms explain how Maine Community Foundation uses text messaging to communicate with grantees, grant applicants, scholarship applicants, fundholders, donors, and community partners. If you provide a mobile number and opt in to receive SMS/text messages, we may send you non-marketing messages related to your grant or scholarship application (for example, status updates, deadline reminders, requests for information, and other important notices).

  1. This service is used to send you notifications about your grant or scholarship applications. Your consent to receive text messages is not required as a condition of applying for or receiving a grant or scholarship.

 

  1. This service is used to send you notifications related to your fund, donations, or community partnership with Maine Community Foundation. Your consent to receive text messages is not required as a condition of making a donation, establishing or maintaining a fund, or partnering with Maine Community Foundation.

 

  1. You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text "STOP" to the number. After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending you SMS messages again.

 

  1. If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program you can reply with the keyword HELP for more assistance, or you can get help directly at info@mainecf.org.

 

  1. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

 

  1. As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. The frequency will vary depending on your individual situation. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.
