Our state’s future depends on working together on our shared challenges – whether your family has been in Maine for generations or arrived just recently. We are all part of Maine’s story, and we believe in America’s enduring promise of freedom, justice, and opportunity for all.
Maine Community Foundation has worked for over 43 years to turn private, charitable contributions by individuals and families into efforts that build a better Maine – granting out more than $850 million to communities over that time. We work with local leaders and community groups across all 16 counties to promote just and fair access to opportunities for all people. That includes supporting organizations dedicated to protecting American rights, like the freedom to peacefully assemble and to live without fear of violence.
In light of recent events, Maine Community Foundation calls on all local, state and federal leaders and all members of our communities to respect each other and the rule of law and work together peacefully.
