Walter & Eva Burgess Scholarship

The Burgess Scholarship was established in 1987 by the estate of Myra L. Burgess to award a scholarship to a graduate of Foxcroft Academy who seeks education beyond the secondary level.

Harry & Lillian Bush Scholarship

The Bush Scholarship was established in 1966 by the estate of Dorothy Bush Cowan to provide scholarships for graduates of Foxcroft Academy.

Howard T. Clark Foxcroft Academy Scholarship

The Howard T. Clark Foxcroft Academy Scholarship provides scholarship assistance based upon academic attainment, character, and financial need to graduates of Foxcroft Academy.

Diana Norton Dicks Education Encouragement Award

The Diana Norton Dicks Education Encouragement Award was established in 1999 by James A. and Fay-Tyler Norton in honor and memory of their daughter, Diana Norton Dicks, who taught at Penquis Valley High School. Diana had great faith in young people and encouraged them always to aspire to a life of sharing and achievement. This award celebrates the accomplishments of a graduating senior at Penquis Valley High School. Recipients will demonstrate leadership and initiative in school and/or community affairs and have a record of sound academic achievement.

Reginald and Mary Dority Scholarship

The Reginald and Mary Dority Scholarship Fund was established by their friends and colleagues in 1976 to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. The Doritys were educators who encouraged their students to attend college. This fund supports graduating seniors at Penquis Valley High School who are residents of Milo, Maine, pursuing a degree in education at a four-year college or university.

Grapevine Association Scholarship

The Grapevine Association Scholarship Fund was established in 1999 to benefit graduates of Greenville High School.

Greenville School System Fund

The Maine Community Foundation partners with the Greenville School System to make a number of scholarship funds available to its graduating seniors. Please contact the guidance office for information concerning these opportunities.

Don Hall Scholarship

The Don Hall Scholarship Fund was founded in 1990 to provide scholarship support to deserving graduating seniors from Sangerville, Maine, or a high school senior nominated by a member of the East Sangerville Grange. The Grange is particularly interested in assisting students from the Sangerville area who have shown civic and community involvement, leadership qualities, or efforts on behalf of the environment or the arts.

Jeffrey A. Kilpatrick Memorial Fund

This fund was established in 1992 by the family and friends of Jeffrey Kilpatrick to provide scholarship support to graduating seniors of Piscataquis Community High School and Foxcroft Academy who wish to pursue post-secondary education..

Phillips Family Scholarship

The Phillips Family Scholarship was established by friends and family in memory of Daniel and Frank Phillips to provide non-renewable scholarship assistance to residents of Shirley, Maine, who have completed at least one year of post-secondary education. Applications should be made in the form of a letter describing the applicant's financial need, course of study, previous year's grades, schools attended, and personal goals.

The Maine Community Foundation partners with Piscataquis Community High School to make a number of scholarship funds available to its graduating seniors. Please contact the guidance office for information concerning these opportunities.

SAD 41 General Fund

The Maine Community Foundation partners with SAD 41 and Penquis Valley High School to make a number of scholarship funds available to its graduating seniors. Please contact the guidance office for information concerning these opportunities.

Alan T. Schultz and Scott R. Willey Memorial Scholarship

The Alan T. Schultz and Scott R. Willey Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 2004 to support a graduating male and female student at Piscataquis Community High School who are considered the most dedicated to and enthusiastic about their chosen sport regardless of their athletic ability.

Ruth Monroe Schultz Memorial Fund

The Ruth Monroe Schultz Memorial Fund supports a graduating senior at Piscataquis Community High School who is pursuing a post-secondary degree in education. The recipient will be the student who holds the highest GPA among the PCHS graduates planning to major in education.

Charles D. Shaw Scholarship

The Shaw Scholarship was established in 1930 by the estate of Charles D. Shaw and provides scholarships to graduates of Greenville High School who wish to pursue higher education.

Emily Trussell Stupak Scholarship

The Stupak Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to graduating seniors from high schools in the Penobscot Valley Conference who are furthering their education at an accredited college or university. Scholarship awards will be based on a demonstrated, passionate dedication to and excellence in a chosen athletic pursuit that the student plans to continue at the college level.

Vietnam Veterans Fund for Greenville High

The Moosehead Lake Woman’s Club disbanded in 2000 due to declining membership. As a final gesture of philanthropy, the members established the Vietnam Veterans Fund for Greenville High School to support graduating seniors pursuing post-secondary education.
