Recent Grants Supporting Local Agriculture

In 2008 and 2009, the Maine Community Foundation awarded $2,169,340 to programs that support sustainable, local agriculture in Maine. These awards came from donor-advised funds and competitive grant programs. See below for lists of organizations working in various issue areas that received funding from MaineCF.

The foundation has also compiled a list and created a chart highlighting food-related grants made by 14 Maine funders in 2008-2009. This information was produced in conjunction with the Grantmakers with an Appetite for Food program held on April 15. The figures in the list represent the cumulative total of grants made by the different funders to individual organizations.
