MaineCF Scholarships

The scholarship funds listed in this section are administered by the Maine Community Foundation for the benefit of Maine residents.

Please note that each scholarship has its own eligibility requirements, review process and application deadline. Many scholarships are limited to residents of specific counties or graduates of specific high schools. Scholarships are arranged according to geographic areas.

Application Deadlines

Deadlines are listed with each fund. Most of the Maine Community Foundation scholarship deadlines are in April and May.

Gannett Journalism Fellows

Current and former Gannet Journalism Fellows meet in Portland to network and share stories from the worlds of broadcast, print and other media. Deadline for this year's Gannett scholarships is May 1. For application and guidelines.

The Annette M. Brown Scholarship: A Passion for Education Lives On


Annette Brown established this scholarship through a bequest in her Will, dated 1916; in 2007 the scholarship was transferred to the Maine Community Foundation. Brother Thomas Bezanson Scholarship Fund Honors a World-Renowned Ceramicist



Residents of Rome, Maine, seeking to pursue post-secondary education have a new resource: the Brother Thomas Bezanson Scholarship Fund.
