Maine Community Foundation Resources
The community foundation administers the Program for Nonprofit Effectiveness, a capacity building grant program for nonprofit groups engaged in community building work in the state of Maine. The goal of this program is to strengthen the impact of Maine-based nonprofit organizations by improving their organizational capacity.

Maine Philanthropy Center. The Maine Philanthropy Center is a nonprofit organization that promotes effective philanthropy in Maine.
PCs for Maine. PCs for Maine is public computer literacy project that enriches lives, educates the young and old, provides cost-effective communications, increases job skills and personal computer access for people, schools and nonprofit organizations across the state of Maine.
Council on Foundations (COF). An association of foundations and corporations that promotes responsible philanthropy.
Chronicle of Philanthropy. A news source for nonprofit professionals and others working in philanthropy.
Emerson & Church Publishers. Emerson & Church publishes some of the bestselling and most authoritative fundraising and board development books in the U.S. They also offer a free subscription to Contributions, a quarterly magazine which focuses on all facets of fundraising and organizational management, and excerpts from books and articles for free reprint.
Foundation Center. The Foundation Center is a clearinghouse for information on grant seeking and foundation and corporate giving.
Free-range Thinking. Free-range Thinking is a monthly online journal written by Andy Goodman that offers "best practices, resources, and generally useful stuff for public interest communicators." Subscribe by clicking on the link above.
